Exhibition

The Feel of Paint is an exhibition of large-scale, highly impastoed mixed media paintings by one of Washington's most prolific artists-while relying on self and not the input of assistants nor mechanics to execute her creativity. Snowden is akin to a force of nature. The works in this exhibition, all of them recent, are big in every way-in daring, in dimension, in painterly virtuosity, in physical weight, and in emotional reach. Snowden explains: "I want viewers to look at my work and see if they can become the paint."

This exhibition is dedicated to the artist's parents:
Dr. George W. and Mrs. Jessie B. Snowden.
