Communication September 30, 2024

Dear Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Colleagues,

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s OneCard office will now use the OIT ServiceNow link to gather the essential identification and demographic information to grant visitors – vendors, contractors, workers, interns, visiting scholars, etc. – campus and building access Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵID cards using the WorkDay software platform.

All requests must be made 48 – 72 hours prior to a visitor’s arrival on campus to allow time for OIT/OneCard to process the information and create an Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵID card. The OneCard office will no longer be able to provide Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ supervisor-accompanied visitors with same-day card access service.

To request Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵID cards for visitors, click . You will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Has the contractor previously been associated with the university through work, education, or any other means?
  • Worker type
  • Worker’s preferred first name
  • Worker’s last name
  • Worker’s date of birth
  • Start date of the contract
  • End date of the contract
  • Worker’s personal email address

Once you have completed the online request form, be sure to inform the OneCard office of your visitor’s expected date of arrival. Upon arrival on campus, visitors should visit the OneCard office with a valid government-issued ID to obtain an Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵID.

If you have any additional questions, please email IDCARDS@american.edu.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
