- Bio
- Professor Kausar teaches financial accounting to undergraduate students and financial statement analysis and valuation to graduate students emphasizing the important role of accounting in business decision making and valuation. His research interests are broad, including financial reporting and disclosure, audit, capital markets, market anomalies, financial distress, behavioral finance, and corporate finance. Professor Kausar’s research has been published in Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Management Science, Review of Accounting Studies, and other high-quality international journals. He has served on the editorial boards of various top academic journals such as The Accounting Review and Contemporary Accounting Research. He has also worked in the industry as a finance manager and as a credit analyst.
