Bio
Tanya Saloom is an Adjunct Faculty member in the School of Professional and Extended Studies at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ. She obtained her BA in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross and her MPH from Yale University. Mrs. Saloom is currently a research analyst at the Center for Naval Analyses specializing in the design, visualization, and delivery of health readiness metrics.
Mrs. Saloom brings with her nearly a decade of experience in healthcare analytics, research methods, and informatics while working at several large health systems during their electronic health record deployments. During her time at Duke University Health System, she was involved in projects aimed at evaluating the impacts of health information technology on quality, finance, population health, and safety. Her areas of research interest broadly include both psychiatric epidemiology and the intersection of mood and health.
Mrs. Saloom resides with her husband, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and her two-year-old daughter, an expert at getting into things she shouldn’t, in the Northern Virginia area.
