- As Director of Communication and Outreach, Tia oversees communication strategy for the School of Communication to better engage current and prospective students, alumni and donors. She coordinates closely with University alumni relations, development, media relations, marketing and publications. Tia also oversees the SOC Online Content Manager, the Events Planning Manager and Video Production Coordinator. Before joining SOC in 2007, Tia managed online communication for the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, a non-profit advocacy coalition uniting progressive organizations in the fight for social justice. She has written for epolitics.com, oneworld.net, and the civilrights.org network and held workshops about online advocacy and website technology for several national social justice organizations.
