Prior to joining SIS, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Fordham University. He earned his PhD in Political Science from the University of South Carolina and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver and the One Earth Future Foundation.
