Dear Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Community,

As you may be aware, this Saturday, September 18, there are planned demonstrations in downtown Washington, D.C. related to the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. We strongly urge students and all members of the community to exercise caution and avoid the downtown area, including hotels and public settings.

Please be vigilant and avoid places where crowds gather. Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, it is particularly important for the health and safety of our community to stay away from crowds and locations where individuals are failing to distance or practice safety measures.

While our campus is not in the vicinity of the planned demonstrations, we are monitoring events and we will adjust security and notify the community if necessary.

Please stay safe and take care of yourself as we continue coming back together as a community.
