The Katzen Arts Center is an innovative space that merges the visual and performing arts and nurtures the interdisciplinary spirit of an Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ education. Named for passionate and generous Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ supporters Dr. Cyrus and Myrtle Katzen, the Katzen Arts Center stands as a focal point for student life and community involvement, and reflects the excitement of a liberal arts education at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.
The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Museum at the Katzen Arts Center has established itself as a destination for the arts community in Washington, DC. The museum is home to a permanent collection including the Watkins Collection, the Rothfeld Collection of Contemporary Israeli Art, and the Corcoran Legacy Collection, and features rotating visiting exhibits. The Alper Initiative for Washington Art, established 2016, features exhibitions of Washington art and artists, and programming to support local art.
