Saba Ahmed is a Staff Attorney with the Defending the ĢƵ Dream Initiative (“ĢƵ Dream”) of the Immigrant Justice Clinic at the ĢƵ Washington College of Law. Saba joined ĢƵ Dream in 2021 and provides free legal services to undocumented college students in the DC area. The work of ĢƵ Dream is funded by a generous donation by ĢƵ Alum William I. Jacobs.

Saba began working with asylum seekers and refugees in Cairo and California over a decade ago. Upon graduating from law school, Saba worked as an immigration attorney with the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition in DC. Saba provided immigration legal services to individuals who were being held in immigration jails in Maryland and Virginia while in deportation proceedings. She represented clients before the immigration courts as they applied for bond, asylum, cancellation of removal, and other forms of legal relief. For the three years prior to joining ĢƵ, Saba was teaching and supervising law students in immigration clinics in New York City and DC.
